Thaifex — World of Food Asia 2008, the fifth edition in the series, has lived up to its reputation as the place to network and be equipped to surmount the looming challenges in the Asian F&B industry, even when the going is tough. Jolene Klassen reports.

IN a testament to the unyielding spirit of the food industry, some 22,000 trade visitors showed up at Thaifex — World of Food Asia 2008 amid the growing concern over food safety and soaring
food prices the world over.

Jointly organised by Germany-based Koelnmesse GmbH and Thailand’s Department of Export Promotion (DEP), in collaboration with the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the fifth edition of the annual show where professionals and business leaders converge has yet again proved to be a melting pot of ideas and innovations in various aspects of the F&B industry.
