Uninterrupted power supply is a critical business need that retailers are well advised to address before crisis strikes to avoid losing customers — and revenue. Etienne Guerou explains why and how.

An often-overlooked aspect of retail operations is having a good, secure, uninterrupted
power supply (UPS), otherwise referred to as a “secure power solution”.

Many retailers mistake a powergenerator backup system for a securepower solution. It is not. An independent power generator will kick in onlyafter an initial period when the power goes down, and that period could be anywhere from a few minutes to several hours.
